ABOUT SHINKAI:
A 3-in-1 Japanese face Gel-Cream for the ‘one step’ customer. The highly hydrating minerals are from the sea on the Japanese West Coast.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concept, design and application.Design of component (with limitation of supplier stock jars) and carton, including choice of materials, colours, typography and textures

APPROACH & KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:
- The deep ocean, where the ingredients are from, gave the glass jar its’deep blue colour, the mirror silver lid reflects the glittery sea surface
- Choosing a heavy pebble looking glass jar for elevation
- The dark blue on the inside of the carton gives a feel of diving intothe sea when opening the packaging
- Highlighting Shinkai’s Japanese origin with a minimalistic design, the red dot reflecting the Japanese flag
- Achieved highest recognition in ‘Best of list’ in Vogue andhas since then become one of the best sellers
